ESSTAR Engineering Pte. Ltd. (“we”, “our”, “us”), UEN 201322904W, respects and complies with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (“PDPA”) of Singapore. This page explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

1. This website itself

This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers or any form of hidden data collection. Simply browsing these pages sends us nothing about you that we keep or process.

2. What we collect when you contact us

If you call, WhatsApp or email us, we collect only what we need to handle your enquiry, typically:

• your name, and where relevant your company and role
• your phone number or email address, so we can reply
• the site address and details of the works you ask about
• photos, drawings or documents you choose to send for quoting

Please send only what is needed for the job. We do not require, and ask that you do not send, NRIC numbers or other identity documents.

3. Why we use your data

• to reply to enquiries and prepare quotations
• to schedule, carry out and coordinate the works you engage us for
• to order materials and coordinate with subcontractors for your job
• to invoice, keep accounts and maintain project records
• to comply with safety, tax and other legal obligations

We do not use your data for marketing, we do not send marketing messages, and we do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.

4. Who we disclose it to

Only the people who need it for your job: our own staff, and where relevant the subcontractors, suppliers or main contractors working on your project. We may also disclose data to authorities where the law requires it.

5. Client and project confidentiality

Beyond the PDPA, what we learn on your premises is treated as professional confidence: site layouts, security arrangements, schedules and the nature of works carried out are shared only with the people directly involved in your job. This duty continues after the works are completed, and where your project requires it, we are happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

6. Overseas transfer

Communication services we use, such as telephone, email and WhatsApp ( operated by Meta ), may store or process messages through servers outside Singapore. We rely on these providers’ contractual and technical safeguards to give your data a comparable standard of protection.

7. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and project records only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal record-keeping obligations, after which they are securely destroyed or anonymised.

8. How we protect it

Access is limited to the staff involved in your job. Company phones and accounts are password-protected, and site photos and documents are deleted when they are no longer needed.

9. Your rights

You may ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you and how it has been used
• correct data that is wrong or out of date
• withdraw consent to our use of your data, going forward

We will respond within a reasonable time. Withdrawing consent may mean we cannot continue a job or quotation, and we may still keep records the law requires us to keep.

10. Questions and complaints

Please contact our Data Protection Officer first with any question or complaint about your data. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Personal Data Protection Commission ( www.pdpc.gov.sg ).
